LIVERPOOL LOWER TRANSFER DEMAND FOR WILSON
Merseyside giants Liverpool have reportedly lowered their transfer demand for winger Harry Wilson this summer as they look to move him on to raise funds for new players. Welsh international Wilson is one of the players available for transfer at Liverpool. English publication Daily Mirror revealed that the Reds have reduced their asking price for the winger amidst interest from Portugal and the English Championship.
The aforementioned media outlet said that Liverpool are ready to sell Wilson for £10m this summer which is £1m less than what Burnley offered last summer. The Welsh international was on course to join Burnley before the move collapsed.
English Championship club Swansea City and Portuguese giants Benfica both showed interest in signing Wilson earlier this summer. Wilson has two years remaining on his existing Liverpool contract.
Wilson is presently on holidays after his exertions with Wales at the European Championship this summer. The Liverpool winger was part of the Wales team that finished second in Group A behind hosts Italy and ahead of Switzerland and bottom team Turkey. Their reward for finishing in second place was a last 16 meeting with Denmark. In the end, Wales were booted out of the tournament following the 4-0 drubbing received at the hands of the Danes. Wilson came on in the second half of the game but could do nothing to change the outcome of the game. The Welsh international is expected to report to Liverpool preseason in a matter of days.
